The television series came later. This is the story that came first.

For more than thirty years, Wayne May has challenged people to look at America’s ancient past with fresh eyes.
As the publisher and editor of Ancient American magazine, he has spent decades documenting archaeological discoveries, historical records, and unusual artifacts that many believe point to a far more complex history of North America than most of us were taught in school.
His research explores prehistoric copper mining, ancient metallurgy, mysterious inscriptions, remarkable earthworks, unusual artifacts, reports of giant skeletons, and evidence that some researchers believe suggests contact between the Americas and other civilizations long before Columbus arrived.
Wayne doesn’t ask audiences to accept extraordinary claims without question.
He asks them to examine the evidence.
If you've ever wondered whether there are forgotten chapters of America's past that most history books never mention, this presentation will leave you looking at history in an entirely new way.

As Utah State Director for MUFON, Dustin Eskelsen investigates reports of unidentified aerial phenomena and helps document some of the most intriguing eyewitness accounts submitted across the state.
His work is not about chasing rumors. It is about listening to witnesses, examining reports, reviewing evidence, and asking careful questions when something does not fit an easy explanation.
At the 2026 Moon Lake Gathering, Dustin will take you inside the world of modern UFO investigations, sharing how reports are documented, evaluated, and investigated, and why some cases continue to challenge conventional explanations.
Whether you are a longtime UFO researcher or simply curious about what people are seeing in the skies, this presentation offers a rare opportunity to hear from someone actively involved in investigating the unknown.

History becomes something entirely different when it's told by the family who lived it.
At 92 years old, Dee Warner is the grandson of legendary Utah outlaw Matt Warner, one of the most fascinating figures of the American West. Matt rode with Butch Cassidy and the Wild Bunch before eventually becoming a respected lawman, deputy sheriff, and justice of the peace in Carbon County, Utah.
Growing up, Dee didn't learn these stories from history books—he heard them directly from his grandfather. Those memories, family traditions, and firsthand accounts have been preserved through decades of storytelling.
At the 2026 Moon Lake Gathering, Dee will share the man behind the legend through family photographs, personal stories, and artifacts connected to Matt Warner himself. It's a rare opportunity to hear Old West history from someone whose family helped live it.
Whether you're fascinated by Butch Cassidy, Robbers Roost, Browns Park, or Utah's outlaw history, this presentation offers a perspective few people have ever experienced.

What happens when you stop simply hearing stories about the unexplained—and actually put yourself in the middle of where they're happening?
Ryan Burns is the owner of Space Wolf Research and host of the HERO Paranormal podcast. For years, Ryan has investigated reports of strange and unexplained phenomena throughout Utah's Uinta Basin—an area that has become famous for reports involving UFOs and UAPs, unusual lights, cryptid encounters, paranormal activity, and other unexplained events.
Rather than simply studying these stories from a distance, Ryan took his research into the field, eventually acquiring his own research property in the Uinta Basin and creating Space Wolf Research.
At the 2026 Moon Lake Gathering, Ryan will take the Main Stage to share some of his research, experiences, and stories from his years investigating the unexplained.
And with Ryan Burns, you never know exactly where the conversation might lead.
From strange activity surrounding the Uinta Basin to investigations at Space Wolf Research and the experiences of the people who have ventured onto the property, Ryan has no shortage of stories to tell.
